Mel & Dane’s Tweed Micro Wedding Mavis Kitchen was nothing short of magical. Set in the lush Tweed Coast Hinterland at this beautiful location, this day unfolded with emotion, spontaneity, and a whole lot of heart.
The day began by the ocean, where they got ready with their gorgeous young son. Forecasts warned of heavy rain, and while we had backup plans in place, their hearts were set on Plan A: a hilltop ceremony with views of the mountains and Mt Wollumbin hidden just behind the clouds.
What followed was a stunning dance between love and weather—sunshine breaking through at all the right moments, moody skies adding depth to the landscape, and a brief shower that only made the ceremony feel even more alive.
Why Mel & Dane’s Tweed Micro Wedding Mavis Kitchen Stood Out:
- Hilltop ceremony with panoramic views over the mountains
- Rain clouds parted at perfect moments, allowing full sun during key parts of the day
- A shared sense of spontaneity and teamwork as we adapted around the weather
- Short mid-ceremony rain pause handled gracefully by celebrant Benjamin Carlyle
- Intimate, joy-filled moments captured with stunning scenery and shifting skies
The ceremony paused briefly as rain swept through, umbrellas were passed around, and laughter carried us through. Then—just like that—the sun returned for their vows, their kiss, and their joyful walk back down the aisle.
